Governance
With a few exceptions, Scottish Fencing is largely governed by the policies and procedures of British Fencing. Here are some of the main areas:
Fencing Rules & Regulations | |
Anti-doping Regulations | as British Fencing see Scottish Fencing Bye-laws For further information and advice see 100% me |
Disciplinary Code | |
Insurance | |
Equality Policy | Scottish Fencing has achieved Foundation Level and is currently working towards Preliminary in the Equality Standard for Sport. As part of this process Scottish Fencing undertook a review of the Equality and Diversity Policy in 2019 and the updated policy is here. |
Child Protection | Scottish Fencing is fully compliant with the Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR) for Child Protection established and reviewed by Sport Scotland. A copy of this can be provided on request. Further information is here. |
Protecting Vulnerable Groups |
All staff (paid or unpaid) working with vulnerable groups will be expected to complete a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) disclosure. This is an integral element of Scottish Fencing's Recruitment and Selection policy. Safeguarding policies can be found here |
